Sarah Camille

Sarah Camille Soltani Icely (Camille) is a painter and poet. Born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina, Camille attended Rollings School of the Arts from grades 4th-8th, and in her 20’s she spent many years overseas doing volunteer work in India and Europe.

Throughout her travels she never stopped writing or creating her art, even when she only had cardboard to paint on. Camille’s inspiration for all that she does has always come from her relationship to God, and her spirituality is reflected in both her artwork and writings. Camille has published her writings in her latest book titled ‘More Than Words- Psalms from the heart of an Artist’.

After moving back to Summerville with her husband in 2019, Camille now spends her days as a full time mother, painting from her home studio and working with The Carnes Crossroads Artist Cooperative, located at The Public Works Art Center in Downtown Summerville, where she sells her books, prints, jewelry and more.
